The Paarl Royals won all their five matches at home. This was a record of its own in the SA20 where a home side have won all their five matches. Skipper David Miller acknowledged the feat after their recent win against the Super Giants last Monday.
"Five from five at home - been fantastic support from fans. The local fans really do get behind us. Nice achievement - the guys have been phenomenal, sticking to their plans. RIght groin feels a bit tight. So good to see the youngsters coming through. Great to see them getting stuck in and taking teams apart" said Miller.
They look in prime form with Joe Root leading the charge with the bat. The England star batsman has scored 300 runs at an average of 60 for the side. Former Indian wicket-keeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik is also playing for the side.
The Super Kings are struggling on the fourth spot with just three wins from eight matches. They have lost four out of their last five games and their qualification looks tough. They have lost against MI Cape Town, Paarl Royals, Pretoria Capitals and the Eastern Cape. This is their reverse fixture against the Royals at home.
