Former Pakistan skipper Wasim AKram's life-size image was unveiled in Hyderabad in April 25. However, the statue has become a laughing stock in recent times.

The former Pakistan skipper was recently honoured with a life-size statue in Hyderabad's Niaz Stadium. The image portrayed the famous bowling action of Wasim Akram. However, recently, the statue has gone viral because of its indifferent facial expression.

The face of the statue is very different to the original face of the Pakistan skipper which has garnered all the limelight. Fans on social media noticed the irrelevance and started trolling the depiction.

The sculptor was able to perfectly depict his body and bowling action, but he messed up designing his face. The actual outcome of his face is making him look older than natural. Noticing the unnatural depiction of Wasim Akram's face, fans on X came up with their opinion and in the process trolled Akram.

Wasim Akram played international cricket for Pakistan between 1989 to 2003. He retired after the 2003 ODI World Cup which was played in South Africa. He ended his career with 414 Test wickets and 502 in ODIs. He still remains Pakistan's highest wicket-taker in international cricket.

Since his retirement, Wasim Akram has taken to coaching and commentary. He has coached in several T20 leagues besides commentating in bilateral ties and ICC events.

Wasim Akram On Younis Khan

Recently, he advocated for Younis Khan, the former Pakistan skipper, to become the head coach of the Test side. Pakistan did not perform as expected in the first two World Test Championships. Hen,ce Akram came up with Younis Khan's name as a perfect man to take up the coaching role for the Test side.

"I would say Younis is a very good option. He would be my choice but everything depends on his availability and what the Pakistan Cricket Board is thinking,” Akram said.

Younis Khan previously served as the batting coach of the national side back in 2021 for six months before he quit his position within just six months.
