South African keeper-batsman Quinton de Kock is back in the Mumbai Indians (MI) fold for MLC 2025. He has been snapped up by the MI New York for this year's competition.
De Kock played a major role in Mumbai Indians' IPL title wins in 2019 and 2020. He is currently playing for the Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL. KKR picked him up in the mega auction after he was released by Lucknow Super Giants (LSG).
Quinton de Kock will thus rejoin his former MI teammates in the IPL, Keiron Pollard and Trent Boult. Alongside them, MI New York has also retained Nicholas Pooran and Rashid Khan. These five of them together will form the core of the side in MLC T20 2025.

Two more major additions to the side have been de Kock's South African teammate, George Linde, who has been rewarded with yet another T20 gig with the franchise after his exploits saw MI Cape Town lifting their first-ever SA20 silverware; another major signing has been Afghanistan all-rounder Azmatullah Omarzai. Omarzai has grown as a cricketer within the national team and now has decent T20 experience playing all around the world. In IPL 2025, he is currently playing for Punjab Kings.
