The Pakistan Super League (PSL) match scheduled to take place on February 25 was called off due to a drone strike from India targeting an airbase in Rawalpindi. Debris from the attack was scattered around the stadium, raising security concerns, resulting in the cancellation of the match. Players were relocated to a safer location.
This incident occurred just hours after Islamabad conducted strikes on 15 military targets in India, prompting a swift response. India subsequently destroyed air defense radar systems in Lahore.

Pakistan Army spokesman Lt. Gen. Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry stated that drones were neutralized in multiple cities, including Lahore, Gujranwala, Chakwal, Bahawalpur, Mianwali, Karachi, Chhor, and Rawalpindi according to reports from PTI. Sources indicated that Israeli-made HAROP drones targeted Pakistan's Chinese-developed HQ-9 missile defense systems, leaving the army vulnerable in Lahore.
In a statement addressing the situation, the Indian Army asserted that "India's response has been in the same domain with the same intensity as Pakistan." Meanwhile, Pakistan has intensified unprovoked firing across the Line of Control in sectors such as Kupwara, Baramulla, Uri, Poonch, Mendhar, and Rajouri in Jammu and Kashmir.
The conflict appears to be escalating at the border, as India has recently neutralized several Pakistani drones and taken down some of their fighter jets. Currently, the Jammu and Kashmir area is under full lockdown, and civilians have been advised to remain indoors for their safety.
