Australian pacer Josh Hazlewood is yet to land in India since the IPL 2025 resumed, and there might be troubles mounting for Royal Challengers Bengaluru, who are already through to the playoffs.
RCB are through to the IPL 2025 playoffs with 17 points from 12 games. Their match against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) was washed out on the day the season resumed.
With GT's win over DC, RCB, GT and PBKS became the three teams to make it to the playoffs. The Bengaluru franchise still has two games remaining, and the franchise is awaiting the availability of the Aussie pacer.

Josh Hazlewood to Complete His Rehabilitation In Brisbane Before Travelling To India
Hazlewood missed RCB's last game against CSK before the season was postponed due to shoulder niggle. Despite the week-long rest, the Aussie pacer has not yet recovered from his injury. Now, as per a report by the Sydney Morning Herald, the Aussie pacer has not yet recovered completely and is yet to land in India and rejoin the side. The report further said he will only land in India after his rehabilitation. The IPL 2025 qualifiers starts from May 29 and Hazlewood still has more than a week to get fit.
"According to informed sources, speaking on the condition of anonymity, Hazlewood is poised to return to India to play with RCB. The 34-year-old will spend next week completing rehabilitation in Brisbane on his shoulder before travelling to India for the play-offs," the Herald said.
After missing the games against CSK and KKR, Josh Hazlewood is likely to miss RCB's next game against SRH as well. RCB play their last league game against LSG on May 27. It will be interesting to see if he plays that game for his franchise.

Blessing Muzarabani Replaces Lungi Ngidi As Temporary Replacement For RCB
Meanwhile, RCB has signed Zimbabwe pacer Blessing Muzarabani for the final leg of the season as a temporary replacement for Lungi Ngidi. The South African players will return on May 26 as they will be preparing for the WTC final against Australia to be played from June 11-15. Ngidi is available for RCB's next game against SRH in Bengaluru. The South African pacer took three wickets in the only game he played this season and had a chance to make further impact against SRH.
