Mitchell Marsh continued his rich vein of form as his blazing ton off just 56 balls helped Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) to post a huge total of 235 runs against Gujarat Titans (GT) in match 64 of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2025) season. The burly opener switched gears seamlessly and bought his maiden IPL hundred. The all-rounder dealt with spin and pace with equal precision and played flawless innings.
The highlight of Marsh's innings was the 25-run assault of Rashid Khan in the 11th over. That big over gave LSG the momentum from where they cut loose. Aiden Markram (36) runs and Nicholas Pooran unbeaten (56) runs also chipped in with vital contributions to allow LSG to post a huge total after being sent into bat by GT.

The pitch at the Narendra Modi Stadium was pretty conducive for batting, as has always been the case in Ahmedabad. LSG's in-form trio of Mitchell Marsh, Markram and Pooan cashed in on golden opportunity.
LSG post a mammoth score, onus on GT batters to hunt the target down
With a strong total onboard, LSG will be supremely confident when they come to bowl in the second innings. However just like LSG, GT's top three - Shubman Gill, Sai Sudarshan and Jos Buttler have been doing bulk of the run-scoring for GT, and should fancy to hunt this huge total. However, today presents an opportunity for GT to shuffle the batting order and give some game time to middle and lower order batters.
