England batter Harry Brook, in an exclusive interview with the Times of India, spoke about the mindset with which this England Test side is playing Test cricket. Despite not making it to the WTC final even once, it looks like the side will not back down from their Bazball approach.

Harry Brook spoke about his mindset while playing and also the mindset of the team. In the first Test against India, the right-hander was dismissed for a duck, but that was a no-ball by Jasprit Bumrah.

He played with intensity and was dismissed on 99 while trying to play a big shot against Prasidh Krishna. In the second innings, he fell for a first-ball duck yet again.

Had A Little Reflection last Week - Harry Brook

Speaking to TOI, he first spoke about how the atmosphere was in the dressing room in the big run-chase against India in the first Test.

"In the Headingley Test, we were all very calm. We knew we were going to go out there and try and chase whatever they set us anyway. Getting six Indian wickets for 40 runs in the third innings probably calmed us down a little bit more, because there was a time when we were staring at a 500-run chase… We knew exactly what we were going to do. The way Ben Duckett and Zak Crawley started the innings was phenomenal" said the England ODI skipper.

Harry Brook then spoke very highly of England's mindset in run-chases. They have already chased down scores of 378 and 371 against India in Tests and said that they are even ready to chase 450 in the second innings.

"Everybody knows that we’re going to try and chase whatever total they set us, So yes, who knows? 450 is a big total, but one thing is for sure, we’ll give it a good crack" Brook added saying.

The England ODI skipper looked ultra-aggressive in both innings when he walked out to bat initially. He survived a duck in the first innings as it was a no-ball from Bumrah. In the second innings, he was again dismissed trying to play an aggressive shot. He did admit that he looks to be aggressive when he does not score for some time.

"Well, I’ve had a little bit of reflection on it last week, I should have got a pair in that game. Obviously, I got out to Bumrah off a no-ball, so I’m pretty happy walking away with 99 and playing a critical role in that game. So yes, I just try and play the way I do. On 99, if you get a short ball, you’re probably more likely to take it on than if you’re on 0. I saw it as a scoring opportunity, and unfortunately, I top edged it straight to the man" added Brook.
