Canada have completed a flawless run on their road to booking their place in the next edition of the T20 World Cup 2026, set to be held in India and Sri Lanka. Canada was dominant throughout the Americas Qualifiers and remained unbeaten to storm their way to the next round. The Nicholas Kirton-led side thus became the 13th team to qualify for the global event set to be played in February and March of 2026.
The hosts of the Americas Regional Final confirmed their place by beating The Bahamas on Saturday, June 21, and later watched Bermuda lose to the Cayman Islands, confirming their position for the showpiece event in 2026. Canada then ended the tournament in style by beating Bermuda on Sunday, June 22, finishing with three thumping wins. Canada also were part of the T20 World Cup in 2024 and entered the Americas Regional Qualifiers as favorites to go through the next round.
